Here are three of the seven flags exhibited. The tattered American Flag comes from the USS William C. Miller, a destroyer escort in WWII, the personal shamrock flag of USS The Sullivans from the 1950s, and the Blue Star Service Flag. Since this picture was taken I have added the exhibit plaques to each.
Here is the flag of the Japanese Imperial Navy. This comes from Ship 66, a coastal defense boat that was sank in 1945.
Here is one of the exhibit plaques from the USS Harold J. Ellison, a destroyer named after a Buffalo native who died in the Battle of Midway. The flag flew at the bow of the ship, and is on display too!
