Welcome to Archives in the Buff
My passion is helping people preserve important parts of their past. Each piece of information created whether it is letters, photos, bills, business records, videos, scrapbooks, or ephemera tells a story. It is my job to make sure these stories and bits of information are preserved to ensure future use. This will create an organic relationship with the past and give context for the future.
I graduated in 12/2011 with an MLIS and an archival concentration from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee. I have worked on important papers/collections for St. Bonaventure University, The Buffalo History Museum, and Forest Lawn Cemetery. This includes appraisal (which records should be preserved), arrangement, description and preservation of records. Once records are processed, creation of a finding aid allows users and researchers to locate the information they are looking for quickly.
My goal is to add to the scope and content of knowledge for families, small businesses and non-profits.
